While a few years ago it was enough to fill the classrooms with excellent teachers and enthusiastic students to make a university great, today digitalisation is also essential to excellence and to stand out among higher education institutions. At the Gellért Campus of Corvinus University, Delta Systems Ltd. has implemented a state-of-the-art educational technology system with room microphones, robotic cameras and huge, unique LED walls.
The Gellért Campus of Corvinus University opened in February 2024. The most sustainable building in the country was designed to create a future-oriented new campus for the university, with innovative, inspiring spaces that are outstanding in our country.
To this end, Delta Systems, a 100% subsidiary of Delta Technologies Plc, provided the educational technology solutions for 67 classrooms, leisure and community spaces. Some 674 new devices have been integrated into the overall system, with 85 classroom displays, 21 field microphone systems and 22 robotic cameras installed, ranging from the simplest design with displays and sound systems to state-of-the-art collaborative spaces with large displays supported by ceiling microphones and robotic cameras, controlled by a central control system, and also suitable for distance learning.
As a system integrator, we don't just think in terms of tools, but we understand the needs of our customers and turn the most suitable tool from each into a complex system. In cooperation with Corvinus University, we have harmonised the latest technical solutions with the existing system so that the easy-to-use audio-visual elements can serve the high quality of education, while the digital solutions can enhance it.
Experience has shown that online presence is now essential for universities, but its quality and ease of use are also important aspects when renewing a system, of which the development of Corvinus University is a prime example.

A long period of planning and consultation preceded the development of the campus' IT network and teaching technology capabilities. We worked with faculty and students to design the system to be as modern and usable as possible. We also took into account foreign benchmarks and Hungarian experience and adapted the new teaching tools to the existing systems. The Gellért Campus has become the most technologically advanced teaching area in Hungary
The two large auditoriums on campus were equipped with the internationally renowned Cleverwall LED displays. The manufacturer's 180-inch (3.9m x 2.2m) video walls in the Auditorium and 220-inch (4.9m x 2.7m) displays in the Data Room were installed here for the first time in Hungary.
The Auditorium includes all the technology needed to support education, from control units for multiple robotic cameras to room microphone systems, complete with a direct streaming unit, a mixing system and a powerful sound system essential for holding events.
It is a complex of buildings where everything is designed for creative cooperation. It enables and encourages teachers to use the latest teaching methods in their everyday work. To this end, educational technology is already in place that specifically supports a wide range of ways for people to interact with each other. An educational technology that is not for its own sake, but always for the sake of connecting and learning
Based on the first semester experiences and feedback from students and faculty, a particularly forward-looking and easy-to-use technology development was implemented at the Gellért Campus of Corvinus University, which, with the system integration of Delta Systems, has become the most innovative digital campus in Hungary.
